Why this design: Uber and Lyft both retired their public price-estimate APIs, and the prices in the
Consumer Reports investigation are often personalized — so the only fare that's truly yours is the
one quoted inside your logged-in app. This tool removes the friction of typing the same addresses twice,
so checking both takes seconds. Estimates use per-city rate cards (cheapest comparable tier on each side is
